Gray's first Christmas!

We spent lots of time with family over the holidays...and since we still have family in town we are still spending lots of time together! Until they get sick of me of course...then I am banished to my house!(Not really) On Christmas Eve we headed up to Alpine to see Mark's family. We ate a ton of food of course and played Michael Jackson Just Dance on the Wii. I just want to say that this is the best game EVER and quite a workout! Gray enjoyed eating a whole role and playing under the table and destroying everything of course!

Christmas day we opened presents at our house then we went the rounds to see every body. We stopped in at my parents for awhile then up to Alpine again and made our last stop at Uncle Danny's for his delicious food! I always tell Mark I don't care what we do I just want to go have dinner at my Uncle Danny's! Luckily he likes the food too so I don't have to do a lot of arm pulling! Gray didn't really care about opening her presents and the only thing she wanted out of her stocking was the snacks! She sure does love food! She does love her blocks santa brought her though and she loves to throw them all over the house!

Mark got me way too much but I love all my presents! He got me a scarf that I am wearing in the picture of Gray and me and a coat and an awesome cake stand! I got more but those are just some of my favorites! My mom also got me the awesome Shark steam mop! Mark told me I wasn't allowed to mop the floors on Christmas! So lame! Thanks everyone for the great presents!

Mark received an awesome shirt with a mustache(from me of course!). Some men are cool enough to grow a mustache and some are cool enough to wear shirts with mustaches! You are so cool Mark! He also got a pull-up bar and some shrimp from his dad and awesome knives from his dad and Julie(the knives are for me too! I used one last night...awesome!) We got more than we deserved!
I am sad that Christmas is already over. I love the spirit and feeling felt with the holiday and it seems like it comes and goes so fast! Our Christmas tree is still up and until it is down I am still saying it is Christmas! I am not letting go of Christmas this year!

Round 1

This last weekend we headed off on a little adventure. One of my best friends in the ENTIRE world was getting married so Mark, Gray and I headed down to the valley. We also happened to catch Liam's first birthday party which was tons of fun of course! Gray and Liam love to play together and Gray loved all Liam's new presents! Sorry we got you sick Liam!

After the wedding which I have no pictures of sadly, we headed off to Globe for Mark's mom's Christmas party. She always does her Christmas the weekend before so we get to see everyone for Christmas. We had lots of fun playing with cousins(and sharing food! Thanks Randi!) and eating WAY too much food. Mark's mom makes delicious tamales and enchiladas and I ate way more than I am willing to admit!

Gray loved exploring outside! She is definitely an outdoor baby. Too bad it is too cold here to go outside often!

Gray 1, Christmas Tree 0

Gray got in a fight with the Christmas tree the other night. A SWORD fight to be exact. We have these little gold icicle looking things and Gray was playing with one. I was in the bedroom and Mark was in the front room with Gray and I heard something shatter. I came running out to see what it was and this is what I found...

Gray decided to hit the glass ball with her "SWORD!"

Next year I am going to have to rethink my choice of ornaments. Obviously glass isn't the best choice!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Well inside at least! Outside it still feels like September, except in the morning. I can't complain though..it has been heavenly!

We finally found the time to go get a Christmas tree last week. Gray loved it! As soon as she got out of the truck she couldn't stop talking and kicking! She of course loves the Christmas tree and wanted to "help" put up all the decorations. She constantly has gold glitter all over her! It is adorable of course!

I am serious business when it comes to picking out the Christmas tree. You only get to do it once a year!

8 months

Our little turkey Gray is 8 months old! She gets crazier and crazier by the day. We sure do love her and we are so glad we got a crazy little baby that fits into our family perfectly! At 8 months she...
  • Crawls on her hands and knees all the time now
  • Pulls up to anything and everything
  • Is finally getting her first tooth
  • Eats whenever we do and eats anything....where does it all go?
  • Laughs at herself and sucks in her breath to make cool noises when she gets really excited
  • Loves being outdoors
  • Still thinks I am the worlds best play place!

She was not giving me any smiles when I took pictures of her!

P.S. Stay tuned for Gray's fight with the Christmas tree!

Stage......I'm not ready for this yet!

Gray has been on the move for awhile, but the last couple weeks it has reached a whole new level! For the last month Gray has known how to crawl on her hands and knees she just wasn't very fast. That is not a problem anymore. She no longer resorts to the army crawl and she can crawl up and over WAY too many things! She is even standing up to stuff now! We have had a few falls but she is getting big too fast and I'm not ready!

She climbed into the laundry basket all by herself! And then tipped over!

She even gets stuck in places she shouldn't be crawling into!
